“Obsessive Compulsive – It’s an Attitude.”

“I’m going to put $30.00 into savings every time you buy a carton of cigarettes and $1.00 for your daily big swig drink, and spend it on myself,” she said.   Her husband replied:  “Then I’ll spend $40.00 on me every time you add a pair of shoes to your Imelda Marcos collection.”
Addictions come in many forms and all cost resources.  Our choices are either positive or negative and results can bless or debilitate our lives.
As Dumbledore counseled Harry Potter:  “our abilities do not define who we are; it is our choices.”
Change is dependent on action, not ability.  Change begins to the heart what we truly value.   Resource management is a learned skill.  But, what we learn, memorize, catalog, understand, and even get graded on will never become part of our lives unless it finds value from discernment in our hearts.  Everything with value begins with personal choice.  DO YOU VALUE BEING PREPARED?  DO YOU CHOOSE TO BE SELF-RELIANT?
